June 24-29, 2012 - Technology and Science of Lighting Conference - (Troy, NY)

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute’s Lighting Research Center is hosting the “13th International Symposium on the Science and Technology of Lighting” (LS13) in Troy, New York. The conference comprises lectures, posters, and special sessions providing a unique opportunity for engineers, scientists, and designers from the lighting industry, research organizations and academia to meet, present and discuss their work on light source research and development. A forum is offered to discuss all aspects of fundamental and applied research on thermal, discharge, and plasma technologies, as well as SSL, specifically white light emitting diodes (LEDs) in a stimulating and informed atmosphere. The LS13 committee is interested in receiving contributed papers that fall within the research categories: solid-state lighting systems, applications of novel lighting systems, metrics for assessing the benefits of lighting systems, and thermal and discharge/plasma lighting systems.
